It was the only 'Mech I ever used in MechWarrior 2: Mercenaries and have come to regard that 'Mech as a lot more symbolic than the Atlas of the MechWarrior Universe.
Not only is it a 50-55 ton Medium 'Mech that packs four lasers (x3 medium and x1 large laser, if I recall correctly but its speed rivals that of anything the Light Class of 'Mechs have to offer, save the Raven.
Also because it is both a Medium and scout 'Mech (with tremendous speeds) it can perform both hit and run attacks, scouting as well as skirmishes.
Considering the maps available, I really the CRB-27 Crab would make a fine addition to MWO and I would be happy to them introduced again.
I miss my old Crab, Marina :-(

I like the idea of releasing the Crab.

the CRB-27, 50 tons, 2 Large Lasers, 2 Medium Lasers, 1 Small laser. 86.4 KPH (81.0 in MWO), coincidently the same speed as many Raven variants, but considered slow for light mechs, although typical of most mediums.

protip, unless you're wielding medlas, the HBK-4J is better at laser vomit than the 4P, due to its general 15% energy quirk.

I believe that I said: "if I recall correctly."

There is the CRB27 (Star League tech), CRB20 (Low tech), and the CRB27L which is also Star league tech, with JJs.

-P variant. PGI has already made a couple. I figure it'd be a ballistic-enabled Crab variant. CT 2 energy, arms 2 ballistics each, or something to that effect.

Ngggh

Lot of Crab variants are similar, but hate the idea of wildly different loadout compared to what we have in Lore.
Crab was noted with great com system, fluff that out to a Command Console or heaven forbid ECM slot on the CRB-27 with very restricted hardpoints compared to the other variants to help justify them, the downgrade CRB-20 have loads of hardpoints to make it the customizers choice while the CRBG-27sl has JJs to offer

Mass Effect - such a good start, such a bad ending. (That song was a credits song)

No malice intended, it is just that my recollection of the mech was much different (and not completely accurate either)

The trilogy as a whole was phenomenal and even the 3rd installment with the half-assed ending was great until said ending, where nothing you did leading up to then, across 3 games and 10 years meant anything.
I didn't follow the developer afterwards, but I'd like to think it was a self-fulfilling parable about dealing with disappointment and missed opportunities from a soon to be divorcee and unemployed game developer.
